March 2014. The Coltelleria Lorenzi, an historic shop located in Via Monte Napoleone, has closed. Founded in 1929, it was an essential reference point for a certain part of Milan that is slowly disappearing. Gianluca Migliarotti, director and loving customer, felt the need to make the experience of Aldo Lorenzi and his wife Edda memorable. That's why he decided to shoot A Knife Life, a documentary film produced by Kid Dandy, as a way to thank a special place which was built around a precise concept and knowledge of the art of the knife and all the values that surround it. A Knife Life tells the story of a man who is in love with his job. But it would be impossible narrate this without mentioning the essential role of his wife Edda in his professional and emotional life.
